Discover climate-positive, diverse books from an independent publisher

Founded in 2020, Renard Press is a socially responsible independent publisher of diverse titles, publishing across many genres, including fiction, non-fiction, theatre and poetry.

In our contemporary list you will find titles you wouldn’t encounter elsewhere – brilliant writers from around the globe testing the limits and exploring form. These are books much more adventurous than the mainstream can offer, and often by writers who have been traditionally overlooked, with a special eye on Queer writers and those from the global majority.

Our classics list aims to broaden the canon, offering beautifully produced editions of books that have been lost to time, as well as lesser-known works by brilliant celebrated writers like Jane Austen and Virginia Woolf.

Renard Press also aims to be a force for good – as well as publishing a wide variety of truly diverse voices from around the world, we also think it is important our books don’t cost the planet, so we have a strong sustainability policy, which includes planting trees for every order placed on our website. We also raise money and awareness for various charities, including the brilliant refugee charity Three Peas, and we seek to increase access to books through our partnership with BookBanks, with our Read It Forward scheme.
